It’s been a while since I posted anything, but it has been a necessary quiet, as submissions are handled and the birthday celebrations were underway. I’m pleased to say that my beautiful family, friends, my man, coworkers, Twitter friends were all showering me with love and support. Mysterious texts always create a story in my head, but that will do for book four, maybe?
Until I crawl out of the writing cave, here’s the latest song to keep me going and typing! RIP Adam MCA Yauch!
Monroe out:)
BEASTIE BOYS – Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win (w/ Santigold)
Now that my grandmother’s memorial-party is complete, it’s high time to get back to the novels and riding that glorious wave of momentum from conference. Still reading all the new, wonderful books I acquired from the debut and veteran authors I love, but this week it’s back to my own words. The song that has me in shivers follows below. It’s in a scene for a hot, steamy car ride between my hero and heroine… if you know what I mean? 🙂
Monroe Out!
 NERO – “PROMISES” (SKRILLEX REMIX)
You got me so wild, How can I ever deny, You got me so high, So high I cannot feel the fire. And you keep telling me, Telling me that you’ll be sweet, And you’ll never want to leave my side, As long as I don’t break these…
Promises, and they still feel all so wasted on myself
You got me so wild, Why should I be so surprised? You got me so high, Don’t you see it in my eyes? And you keep telling me, Telling me that you’ll be sweet, And you’ll never want to leave my side, As long as I don’t break these…
Promises, and they still feel all so wasted on myself
They are so wasted on myself
Promises, and they still feel all so wasted on myselfÂ
It is officially the birthday month for some incredible people, some no longer walking this earth. As I wait for my ride, I just quickly want to wish an early Happy Birthday to my grandmother and Adam Yauch. There are no words to describe what she meant to me, and we will celebrate her life this Saturday, which would have been her 90th. And in honor of what Yauch and his bros, the Beastie Boys, and their music gave to me, I will blast Licensed To Ill during the dance portion of the party! May you both rest in peace.
