Shannon L. Monroe follows her love of Ancient and Medieval History, music of all kinds, old crusty books and libraries to keep herself traveling and writing as much as possible. Scribbling “fan fiction” with girlfriends in middle school before it was labeled as such, by passing unfinished notes back and forth in class, extending poems to epic lengths and sneaking her mother’s Harlequins late at night back in the early 1980’s, started the fire in her heart and belly for writing great Romance novels.
A PRO-member of Romance Writers of America and long-time member and former board member of the San Francisco Area chapter (SFA-RWA), Shannon has contributed to the organization in many ways, including judging their annual writing contest for the unpublished, The Heart-to-Heart Contest. Her yet-to-be published Skateboarding Romance was a finalist for First Place.
Shannon also contributed an article to the SFA-RWA chapter’s book on writing: Writing Romance: The Ultimate Guide on Craft, Creation and Industry Connections
Kearney Wentworth loves writing about her passions: music, romance, travel, sports, libraries, blerdgirls and blerdboys. Book One of her “Highland Havoc Rugby Club” series is out on submission now! Check back for updates.
